Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
In short
- We collect your details to book your seat, take payment and keep you informed about the workshop.
- We never see your card, bank or UPI details. Razorpay handles payments.
- We use Meta and Google tools to learn which ads bring registrations.
- We do not sell your data. You can ask us to show, correct or delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
Nilesh Mataria, sole proprietor, trading as Self Discovery, 313, International Business Center, Dumas Road, Surat, Gujarat 395007, India. Email: selfdiscovery2011@gmail.com · Phone: +91 96242 76555. We decide how your personal data is used for this website and the workshop.
2. What we collect
- Your registration details: your name, mobile number, email address and any other details the registration form asks for.
- Payment details: whether your payment succeeded, the amount, and the Razorpay order and payment IDs. We never see or store your card, bank or UPI details.
- Where you came from: the ad codes in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, fbclid, gclid) and the page you first landed on.
- Device and browser data: collected by the measuring tools in section 4, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
- Photos and video taken at the workshop.
3. Why we use it
- To register you, confirm your seat and let you in on the day.
- To take your payment, send your GST invoice and handle any refund.
- To send you your confirmation and updates about this workshop by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- If you fill in the form but do not pay, to send you up to 2 reminder emails about this workshop only. Each email has an unsubscribe link.
- To learn which ads bring registrations, so we spend less on ads that do not work.
- To show photos and videos of the workshop in our marketing, unless you ask us not to.
- To send you news about future Self Discovery events, only if you tick the box that asks for it. You can stop these at any time.
We use your data only with your consent, which you give when you submit the form, or where the law allows or requires it (for example, keeping invoices for tax purposes).
4. Cookies and ad measurement
We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure which Facebook and Instagram ads lead to registrations. The Pixel uses cookies (such as _fbp and _fbc) and records the pages you visit and actions such as opening the registration page, submitting the form and paying, along with your IP address and browser details. When you register or pay, our server also sends Meta your email address and mobile number in scrambled (hashed, SHA-256) form, with the event and its value, so Meta can match it to the ad you saw.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use this website, and the Google Ads conversion tag to measure our Google ads. They also use cookies. Learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can limit this tracking by:
- blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings;
- changing your ad settings in Facebook, Instagram and your Google account; or
- installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
5. Who we share it with
We share your data only with the companies that help us run the website and the workshop:
- Razorpay: payments (India).
- Supabase: our database (Mumbai, India).
- Resend: sending emails.
- Cloudflare: hosting this website.
- Meta and Google: ad measurement and website analytics.
Some of these companies store or process data outside India. They are bound by their own terms to protect it. We may also share data when the law requires it. We do not sell your data.
6. How long we keep it
- Registration, payment and invoice records: 8 years.
- Form entries that were never paid for: deleted 30 days after the event.
- When we no longer need your data, we delete it.
7. How we protect it
This website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Only our team can see registrations, through a password-protected admin page, and our database blocks access from anyone else. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay.
If a data breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we shared it with;
- correct or complete your data;
- delete your data (unless the law requires us to keep it, such as invoices);
- stop using your data by withdrawing your consent. This is as easy as giving it: email us, or use the unsubscribe link in any email;
- not show you in our photos and videos; and
- let someone you nominate use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
Email selfdiscovery2011@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before, and we may still need some data to honour your booking.
9. Children
People under 18 can attend. For them, a parent or guardian fills in the form, pays, and gives consent for the attendee’s details to be used for this workshop. We do not knowingly target ads at anyone under 18.
